A Call to Holiness -Standing Against the Reprobate Mind
Sermon Title-The Power of Renewing Our Minds
Scripture Reference- Romans 1:28 (HalleluYah Scriptures and Traditional Text)
Shalom family of WBJMinistries! Today, we gather in the presence of our mighty Elohim, Yahuah, to reflect on a scripture that challenges us to look deeply at the condition of our minds and spirits. Let us turn to Romans 1:28:
HalleluYah Scriptures-
“And even as they did not think it worthwhile to possess the knowledge of Elohim, Elohim gave them over to a worthless mind, to do what is improper.”
Traditional Text (KJV)-
“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.”
Family, this word is one of warning, but it is also one of deep revelation. The world has rejected Yahuah’s truth, and because they chose not to retain Him in their knowledge, He allowed their minds to be darkened. The traditional text refers to this condition as a "reprobate mind," while the HalleluYah Scriptures calls it a "worthless mind." The message is clear: when we choose to ignore or reject the truth of Elohim, we risk losing the ability to discern what is right and proper.
Retaining the Knowledge of Yahuah
The scriptures warn us that the people of this world did not think it was worthwhile to retain Yahuah in their knowledge. This is a heart issue, family. The world has chosen to elevate self over the Creator. They chase after wealth, pleasure, and power, placing their own desires above Yahuah’s commands.
But WBJMinistries, we are called to be different! We must retain Yahuah’s knowledge in every part of our lives—when we wake up, when we go about our day, and when we lay down to rest. Yahuah’s Word is not an afterthought; it is the foundation upon which we build our lives. Every decision, every action, every word must be guided by His truth.
HalleluYah Scriptures-
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6).
The enemy wants nothing more than to take the knowledge of Yahuah away from us. He wants us to be distracted, confused, and lost. But we declare today that we will retain His knowledge, that His Word will be written on our hearts, and we will meditate on it day and night!
The Danger of a Reprobate Mind
A reprobate mind is a mind that has lost its ability to discern right from wrong. Family, we see this all around us. The world has embraced sin and calls it "good." People have twisted the truth, convincing themselves that they can live without Yahuah and still be blessed.
But what does the Word say? When Elohim gave them over to a reprobate mind, they began to do things that are not proper. They lived in rebellion against His commands, thinking they were wise but becoming fools (Romans 1:22).
This is a dangerous place to be, and WBJMinistries, we are called to be the voice that calls people out of this deception. We must stand firm in Yahusha’s truth and shine a light in the darkness of this world.
Traditional Text (KJV)-
“Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2).
We do not have to fall into the trap of a reprobate mind! Yahusha Ha’Mashiach has given us the power to renew our minds through His Spirit. Every day, we must choose to reject the lies of this world and be transformed by Yahuah’s truth.
Walking in Holiness
The result of rejecting Yahuah is a life filled with improper actions. But WBJMinistries, we are called to walk in holiness. Holiness is not just something we talk about; it’s something we live out every single day.
HalleluYah Scriptures-
“Because it is written, ‘Be qodesh, for I am qodesh’” (1 Peter 1:16).
Traditional Text (KJV):
“Because it is written, ‘Be ye holy; for I am holy’” (1 Peter 1:16).
Holiness is a call to be set apart, to walk differently than the world. While others may embrace immorality, greed, and pride, we choose humility, love, and righteousness. We choose to follow the example of Yahusha, who lived a life of perfect obedience to Yahuah.
A Call to Action
Family, this is not a time to be passive. This is a time to rise up and declare the truth of Yahuah boldly. The world is slipping deeper into darkness, but we have the light of life! We must be the ones to call people back to retaining the knowledge of Elohim. We must be the ones to declare that there is a better way—a way of life, peace, and salvation through Yahusha Ha’Mashiach.
Closing Prayer
Yahuah Elohim, we come before You with humble hearts, recognizing the seriousness of the times we are living in. We ask that You help us to retain Your knowledge, to reject the ways of this world, and to renew our minds daily. Protect us from falling into a reprobate state, and help us to walk in holiness. Empower WBJMinistries to be a voice in this generation, calling people back to Your truth. In Yahusha’s Name, we pray, HalleluYah, Amen!
WBJMinistries, let us go forth boldly, renewed in our minds and filled with the knowledge of Yahuah! We will not be silent, we will not compromise, and we will shine His light in a world that desperately needs Him!
