Fortified by Faith -Overcoming Opposition with the Power of Yahusha
Overcoming Opposition- A Grace-Filled Sermon of Faith, Wisdom, and Spiritual Power
Greetings to the WBJMinistries family. Today, we gather to reflect on overcoming opposition through the mighty power of Yahusha, who empowers us with wisdom, faith, and a fortress of spiritual strength. In moments of trial, when the world seems against us, we can stand firm knowing that Yahusha is our refuge and strength.
The Foundation of Gratitude
In the book of Psalms, which is a treasure of hallel (praise) and gratitude, we are reminded:
"I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth." (Tellihim)-(Psalm 34:1)
Gratitude is a powerful weapon against opposition. When we choose to praise Yahusha in the midst of our battles, we shift our focus from the struggles to His goodness. Gratitude brings us into His presence, aligning us with His strength.
Let us be like the psalmist who declares:
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever."(Tellihim )-(Psalm 107:1)
No matter the circumstances, we can always thank Yahusha for His unchanging love, His wisdom, and His faithful presence. It is in gratitude that our faith grows, and through our faith, we overcome all opposition.
Faith in the Midst of Trials
Faith is the cornerstone of our victory. Yahusha teaches us in His word-
"If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move."(Mattithyahu )-(Matthew 17:20)
When opposition arises, Yahusha calls us to have faith, even if it feels small. That tiny seed of faith holds within it the power to move mountains, to break down walls, to tear down every obstacle the enemy places before us. Our faith in Yahusha becomes the force that empowers us to push forward, not in our own strength, but through His divine power.
In the Celtic tradition, there is a deep understanding of spiritual resilience and the power of faith. The Celts spoke of “The Shield of Faith,” which protected them in battle. We, too, are called to don the spiritual armor of faith.( Ephisiym)- Ephesians 6:16 reminds us:
“Take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.”
Faith becomes our spiritual fortress, a shield against every fiery dart of doubt, fear, and discouragement.
Wisdom from Yahusha
In the Gospel of Matthew, Yahusha offers us profound wisdom for living:
"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you." (Mattithyahu)-(Matthew 7:7)
Opposition is often a test of wisdom. In moments of hardship, we are invited to seek the wisdom of Yahusha. He will guide us through the darkness and lead us into His light. His wisdom is like a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Tellihim)-(Psalm 119:105).
Let us remember the words of Yahusha:
“The wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight."(Qrinthyim )-(1 Corinthians 3:19)
When we rely on Yahusha’s wisdom, we tap into an eternal perspective. We no longer have to navigate opposition through worldly wisdom, but through the power of His Spirit, we can see beyond the circumstances to His divine purpose.
Spiritual Power for Victory
As we stand in Yahusha’s strength, we draw from the unshakeable spiritual power He gives us. In the book of Isaiah, it says:
"No weapon formed against you will prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you will condemn." (Yeshayahu)-(Isaiah 54:17)
This promise is not just a declaration; it is a shield of spiritual power that enables us to stand firm in the face of opposition. Every weapon—whether it be words, actions, or spiritual attacks—will fall short when we are covered in the spiritual power of Yahusha.
In Celtic spirituality, there is the concept of a "spiritual fortress," a stronghold where we are safe from every storm. This fortress is not built by human hands, but through Yahusha’s presence in our lives. (Tellihim)-Psalm 91 declares-
"Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." (Psalm 91:1)
In Yahusha, we find our fortress, our protection, our safe place. No enemy can breach this stronghold. It is a place where we find refuge, peace, and strength to overcome any opposition.
Standing Strong in Yahusha
As we face opposition, let us be filled with gratitude, faith, wisdom, and spiritual power. Let the words of Yahusha, the wisdom of the ages, and the strength of the spiritual fortress He provides carry us forward.
Remember the words from (Qrinthyim)-2 Corinthians 12:9:
“But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
In our weakness, His power is made perfect. And with that power, we can overcome any opposition. May we, as the WBJMinistries family, rise above every challenge, knowing that Yahusha is with us, guiding us, protecting us, and empowering us to live victoriously.
HalleluYah!
