Fortified in Faith- Standing Strong in the Armor of Yahusha
Sermon -Standing Firm Against Demonic Attacks with the Armor of Yahusha
Beloved family of WBJMinistries, today, we gather to arm ourselves in the strength and love of Yahusha, our Savior and Redeemer, standing strong in the face of spiritual warfare. We are in a world that continuously challenges our faith, yet Yahusha equips us with every spiritual tool we need to overcome darkness. We face both physical and spiritual battles, but today, let us remember that with the full armor of Yahusha, we are unstoppable.
Scripture Reading- Ephesians 6:10-18 (Halleluyah Scriptures)
> “For the rest, my brothers, be strong in the Master and in the mightiness of His strength. Put on the complete armor of Elohim, for you to have power to stand against the schemes of the devil. Because we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against authorities, against the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual matters of wickedness in the heavenlies. Because of this, take up the complete armor of Elohim, so that you have power to withstand in the wicked day, and having done all, to stand. Stand, then, having girded your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace; above all, having taken up the shield of belief with which you shall have power to quench all the burning arrows of the wicked one. Take also the helmet of deliverance, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of Elohim.”
Recognize the Nature of the Battle: The battle we face is not simply against flesh and blood, but against unseen forces of darkness. These are not just small skirmishes; they are calculated attacks meant to rob us of our peace, purpose, and praise. Our adversary, HaSatan, uses demonic energy to disrupt, destroy, and divert us from Yah’s light.
In African tradition, we are familiar with the spiritual influences of entities like Unkulunkulu, a creator god, and Amadlozi, ancestral spirits. Many honor them with reverence, but as followers of Yahusha, we recognize that these forces, while powerful, are not Yah. Unlike the Creator who empowers us, these spirits often work within a world system that confuses or entangles. Our strength and truth come from Yahusha, the supreme authority.
Armor Up with the Truth of Yahusha: The truth is our first defense. Yahusha says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). We’re called to wrap ourselves in this truth, knowing that our salvation is secure and our victory sure. The truth of Yahusha shields us against deception and false teaching, giving us discernment to recognize and reject demonic lies.
Breastplate of Righteousness – Guard Your Heart: Just as the breastplate protects a soldier’s heart, righteousness guards ours. Proverbs 4:23 reminds us, “Guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life.” When the enemy attacks with temptation, shame, or guilt, we remember that Yahusha’s righteousness covers us. No weapon formed against us will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) because our hearts are aligned with His.
Feet Fitted with the Good News of Peace – Walk in His Assurance- Every step we take is grounded in peace, the Good News of Yahusha. We don’t run from battle; we run toward Yahusha, who keeps us steady. When fear tries to take over, when the enemy tries to sow doubt, we remember Yahusha’s words, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you” (John 14:27).
Shield of Belief – Stand Firm in Faith: Faith is the shield that quenches every flaming dart aimed at us. When demonic forces try to sow confusion, accusation, and fear, we lift our shield high and declare, “Yahusha is my deliverer, my rock, my fortress” (Psalm 18:2). We can trust in Yahusha’s power and love, knowing He will never forsake us.
Helmet of Deliverance – Protect Your Mind: Our minds are often the first target in spiritual attacks. The helmet of deliverance, or salvation, keeps our thoughts in alignment with Yahusha’s truth. Romans 12:2 reminds us, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Let’s choose to think on things that are true, noble, pure, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8).
Sword of the Spirit – Wield the Word: Our greatest offensive weapon is the Word of Yah. Hebrews 4:12 tells us, “For the Word of Elohim is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword.” With each verse, we push back darkness, dispelling lies with the light of His truth. When the enemy says we are weak, we declare, “I can do all things through Messiah who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
Conclusion – We Are Victorious in Yahusha! WBJMinistries, let us stand firm, dressed in the full armor of Yahusha. In the face of demonic energy, we are not shaken; we are strengthened by His Spirit. Let us remember: no matter what spirits of old or demonic forces arise, Yahusha’s power is above all. We are covered, we are protected, and we are victorious.
Prayer- Yahusha, our mighty Savior, we thank You for Your armor that shields us from every attack. Strengthen us to stand boldly against the enemy’s schemes. Surround us with Your peace, guard our hearts with righteousness, and let our faith shine like a shield. Empower us with Your Word, that we may walk fearlessly in Your name, fully confident that You have already claimed the victory for us. In Your holy name, Amen.
