What If Today Was Your Last Day? Living with Eternal Urgency
A WBJMinistries Sermon
Opening Prayer:
Abba Yahusha, Heavenly Father,
We humble ourselves in Your presence and ask for the courage to live boldly and righteously, as if today were our last day. Instill in us eternal urgency, awaken our hearts to what truly matters, and fill us with Your Ruach ha’Qodesh so we may walk in holiness, pursue our divine calling, and love others with grace and truth.
HaleluYah.
Introduction: The Weight of the Moment
What if today was your final sunrise? Would your to-do list change? Would your bitterness remain? Would you love more deeply, pray more earnestly, forgive more freely?
Halaleyah Scriptures: Qoheleth (Ecclesiastes) 12:13
"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear Elohim, and guard His commands – for this is the whole duty of man."
This is not a message of fear. This is a wake-up call for faith. For fire. For focus.
Reconcile Relationships – Don’t Wait for “Someday”
Yahusha said in Mattithyahu (Matthew) 5:23-24, if your brother has something against you, first be reconciled. Many live as if they have time to get it right “later.” But beloved, later is not promised.
From the heart of the Mohegan Tribe, we learn:
> “Let your heart be like a lake with a calm, still surface and great depths of kindness.”
Can you forgive? Can you ask for forgiveness? Can you call someone today and say, “I love you, I miss you, I’m sorry”? Eternal urgency starts with relational healing.
Walk in Holiness – Be Set Apart, Not Settled
Tas’loniqim Aleph (1 Thessalonians) 4:7 (Halaleyah Scriptures)
"For Elohim did not call us to uncleanness, but in set-apartness."
From the Buddhist perspective, enlightenment begins when we release attachment.
Holiness in our walk means we release sin, bitterness, and distraction—urgency makes room for purpose.
As Rumi said:
> “Try not to resist the changes that come your way. Instead, let life live through you.”
Today is the day to cast off sin and put on the garments of light.
Pursue Your Calling – No More Delay
Abraham Heschel said:
> “Our goal should be to live life in radical amazement.”
Have you started the mission Yahusha whispered into your soul? That ministry? That healing business? That book? That street outreach?
In the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan, we see visionary works from those who refused to die with their dreams inside them. Their art speaks eternally—what will your life say when you’re gone?
Timotiyos Bĕyth (2 Timothy) 4:7 (Halaleyah Scriptures)
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have guarded the belief."
The cosmos is watching. The angels are watching. Your ancestors are watching—Amadlozi, Unkulunkulu—they are urging you: RUN your race.
Be Bold in Your Faith – Yahusha Could Return Today
Yahusha told us in Mattithyahu (Matthew) 24:44 (Halaleyah Scriptures)
"Because of this, be ready too, for the Bĕn of Aḏam is coming at an hour when you do not expect Him."
Imagine looking up at the American Museum of Natural History in Manhattan, gazing into the cosmic planetarium, and realizing the One who created all this—Yahusha—may split the sky tonight.
Would He find you faithful? Or distracted?
As Socrates said:
> “An unexamined life is not worth living.”
Let us examine ourselves and live as if His return is not near—
but now.
Live for the Eternal, Not the Earthly
My Polish lineage, my family, my heritage—they are part of your calling.
The Muslim call to prayer reminds us: five times a day, stop and turn to the Divine.
The Catholic traditions remind us: the sacred is hidden in everyday rituals.
Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 55:6 (Halaleyah Scriptures)
"Seek יהוה while He is to be found, call on Him while He is near."
He is near now.
Don’t wait.
Call to Action: What Will You Do Today?
Will you forgive?
Will you write the vision?
Will you pray like it’s your last time?
Will you love like there’s no tomorrow?
The cosmos declares His glory.
The museums declare humanity’s legacy.
WBJMinistries declares your time is now.
Closing Prayer:
Abba Yahusha, Heavenly Father,
Let us live each day with eternal urgency. Let us forgive quickly, love deeply, and serve boldly. Let us walk in holiness, pursue our divine calling, and prepare our hearts for Your return. May we be found faithful in all things.
HaleluYah.
