✨ Sermon Title; Walking with Light: Wisdom from the Turtle Path

ree

🙏🙌🏼🤲🏼📿🛐

O Elohim of light, Yahusha our Redeemer, Unkulunkulu our source of life, Amadlozi who whisper wisdom, we enter this moment with reverence. May the voices of women in Scripture, the wisdom of our ancestors, and the courage of Black leaders illuminate our path. Fill us with courage, clarity, and compassion. Halleluyah.

🌊 The Story

Like the turtle 🐢 who glides across ancient waters, carrying its home upon its back, creation itself teaches us about patience, resilience, and purpose. The turtle does not rush, for it knows every step is sacred. In the museum halls of Manhattan 🏛️—the Museum of Natural History, the Met, and the Museum of the American Indian ~ artifacts and symbols remind us; every culture has honored the steady march of time, the layers of wisdom, and the call to endure.

📖 Scripture Foundation

Eph’siym (Ephesians) 6:12, Halleluyah Scriptures – “Because we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against authorities, against the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual wickedness in the shamayim.”

Mishlĕy (Proverbs) 31:25, Halleluyah Scriptures – “Strength and splendour are her garments, and she rejoices in the latter day.”

Women like Esther, who stood “for such a time as this”; Mary Magdalene, who bore witness to Yahusha’s resurrection; and Deborah, the judge and prophetess, remind us that divine strength often wears a woman’s garment of courage. 🌸

🌍 Voices of Heritage & Wisdom

From the Zulu Amadlozi to the Mohegan respect for nature, from Polish Catholic perseverance to Buddhist mindfulness, from Islamic devotion to prayer to the harmony of chakras. Each tradition whispers the same truth; Elohim’s light is present in every culture. 🈵 Black women’s wisdom reminds us of this too. Maya Angelou said; “I come as one, but I stand as ten thousand.” ✊🏾 Just as Deborah led armies, Angelou’s voice carried nations. Sojourner Truth declared, “Ain’t I a woman?” ~echoing Proverbs 31 with bold faith.

🕯️ Reflection & Philosophy~ Philosopher Socrates once said, “The unexamined life is not worth living.” Yet when examined through faith, life is illuminated. Martin Luther King Jr. declared, “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” The turtle, too, moves one deliberate step at a time. 🐢✨

Social science shows us that patience, community, and heritage strengthen resilience. Anthropology reveals that every society builds myths and rituals around endurance. Applied statistics shows that steady progress outweighs hurried leaps. Law reminds us that justice, though delayed, is not denied.

💡 Call to Action ~ Beloved, do not despise small steps. Whether you are carrying the weight of family, ministry, health, or calling. Remember the turtle 🐢. Be steadfast. Be patient. Shine your light. Walk boldly in Yahusha, knowing your ancestors and Elohim Himself cheer you onward. 🌟

O Yahusha, as we leave this space, may our steps be steady like the turtle, our wisdom deep like the oceans, and our courage strong like Deborah, Esther, and Mary Magdalene. May we echo the strength of Black women, the resilience of ancestors, and the peace of mindfulness. Carry us in light until we gather again. Halleluyah.
