✨ WBJMinistries Sabbath Day Sermon: Untwisting the Tongue of Pride

🌍 Opening Reflection🪞
Halleluyah and peace to all who walk in light!
Today we gather not only to praise Yahusha but to cleanse our tongues of the twisted energy that divides the faithful. The Leviathan spirit, the ancient energy of pride and confusion that slithers through speech and social connection. In the hood, this same energy is called “subbing” taking slick, prideful shots at others under the disguise of humor or holiness. Yet spiritually, this is not merely a social act; it is warfare of the unseen realm.
📖Eph’siym (Ephesians) 6:12, Halleluyah Scriptures declares:
> “Because we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against authorities, against the world rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual matters of wickedness in the heavenlies.”📜
🔥 Message: The Battle for the Tongue
From Harlem to the Holy Land, words hold power.
Anthropologists describe speech as a sacred act that builds or destroys social order. Sociology teaches that communication defines community identity. When our words are twisted by pride, we invite chaos into our collective energy, much like the serpent Leviathan, who distorts truth to divide.
The Kemetic Laws of Ma’at, originating from ancient Kemet (Egypt), remind us that speech must align with truth, justice, and balance.
Ma’at teaches:
1. “I have not spoken evil.”
2. “I have not caused fear.”
3. “I have not been angry without cause.”
4. “I have not stirred up strife.”
5. “I have not caused pain by my words.”
These principles mirror Yahusha’s own teaching in 📖Mattithyahu (Matthew) 12:36, Halleluyah Scriptures:
> “And I say to you that for every idle word men speak, they shall give an account of it in the day of judgment.”📜
Every culture! Whether in the deserts of Africa, the temples of Tibet, or the churches of Manhattan, teaches that the voice carries spirit. The Zulu say, “Izwi liyaphilisa noma liyabulala” — the word can heal or it can kill. The Mohegan elders teach that each sound we release vibrates through creation.
When we “sub,” gossip, or speak with pride, we unleash chaos into our environment. A ripple that disturbs both the physical and spiritual worlds.
🌞 Philosophical and Sociological Insight. Philosopher Søren Kierkegaard once said, “Purity of heart is to will one thing.”
When our heart is pure, our tongue follows. But when ego interferes, our speech becomes double-minded ~ part truth, part vanity. Sociology calls this symbolic interactionism ~ the process by which humans create social meaning through language. So, when believers attack each other, we are not only wounding individuals; we are reshaping the collective faith image in the eyes of the world. What should shine as Elohim’s light instead flickers with division. Through the lens of law and justice, the Leviathan spirit violates both spiritual and cosmic order. In ancient Kemet, that disruption of Ma’at required confession, restoration, and balance. In our modern ministry, that same principle applies through repentance, mindfulness, and community rebuilding.
🌊 Ancestral Connection and Healing
Our Amadlozi (ancestors) watch closely how we use our tongues. They understand the power of word and vibration. They remind us that a divided people cannot build a unified kingdom.
Unkulunkulu, the Great Source, gave humanity the gift of sound to heal, not harm.
Polish Catholic traditions honor humility in speech, teaching quiet endurance in persecution.
Buddhism reminds us to engage in Right Speech, one of the Eightfold Paths: to speak only what is true, necessary, and kind.
Islamic wisdom teaches that “The tongue is like a lion; if you let it loose, it will wound someone.”
And the wisdom of Black women declares, “Every word is a seed ~ plant carefully what you want to grow.” Each of these truths align with Yahusha’s own heart: unity, humility, and peace.
🌺 Prayer of Restoration
Eternal Elohim, Creator of all balance and light,
We ask You today to untwist our tongues and cleanse our speech.
Let our voices reflect truth, compassion, and humility.
Where division has entered, bring unity.
Where ego has spoken, let silence teach us wisdom.
Where envy has crept in, fill us with gratitude.
Let our words build and not destroy.
Let our tongues be instruments of light, never daggers of darkness.
Through Yahusha, our Redeemer, we stand in peace and restoration.
Halleluyah.
🌄 Closing Reflection🪞
The Leviathan spirit may dwell in shadows, but light exposes all deceit.
Let us walk as spiritual beings who understand that our power is in our word.
Let us speak life, balance, and truth as Ma’at commanded and Yahusha fulfilled.
Let us silence pride, uplift our community, and glorify Elohim with clarity and compassion.
So as this Sabbath dawns, remember:
Your words are sacred.
Your light is divine.
Your purpose is eternal.
