DREAMS, VISION & PURPOSE: THE 7 PRINCIPLES

Elohim, awaken our understanding and pour out Your Ruach Hakodesh upon us. Give us knowledge to acknowledge trends, consistency to govern our thoughts, resolve to face righteousness, and faith to shift forward. Let our dreams become purposeful, our knowledge become understanding, and our lives become an illumination to others. In the name of Yahusha, Halleluyah!

📖 YO'ĔL 2:28 says, “Your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.” This is a powerful declaration that vision is not limited by age, gender, education, wealth, or social position. Elohim can place purpose in the heart of an elder and vision in the mind of a young person. Your circumstances may describe where you are, but they do not have to determine where you are going. Ancient Hermetic philosophy spoke of seven principles: Mentalism, Correspondence, Vibration, Polarity, Rhythm, Cause and Effect, and Gender. These are philosophical concepts, not replacements for Scripture. However when examined carefully, they can give us language for thinking about the human mind, patterns, choices, relationships, and the world around us.

The first principle, Mentalism, emphasizes the importance of mind. Scripture similarly challenges us to transform our reasoning. What occupies your mind eventually influences. Sociology studies how society shapes our reflection, while psychology and statistics help us explore behavior and cycles. Yet faith asks an even deeper question: Who is governing your mind?

The second principle, Correspondence, is often expressed as “as above, so below.” While Scripture does not teach that phrase as doctrine, it can remind us that what happens internally can influence what happens externally. A person who develops discipline may begin producing disciplined results. What you repeatedly cultivate within yourself eventually begins appearing through your actions.

The third principle, Vibration, speaks philosophically about movement and change. Scripture constantly presents life as movement: transforming, growing, renewing, overcoming, becoming. Your life cannot remain exactly where it is and still become what it is called to become. Something must shift.

The fourth principle, Polarity, speaks of opposites. Light and darkness, hot and cold, courage and fear. Yahusha gives us a powerful spiritual picture when He says, “Ye are the light of the world.” Light does not need to become darkness to defeat darkness. It simply shines. In a world struggling with crime, violence, division, and fear, we need people who refuse to reproduce the darkness they have experienced.

The fifth principle, Rhythm, reminds us that life has seasons. There are times of planting and times of harvest, times of waiting and times of movement. Joel's prophecy reminds us that different generations carry different responsibilities. Your season may not look like someone else's season. Do not despise your season because you are comparing it to somebody else's.

The sixth principle, Cause and Effect, connects strongly with everyday life. Systems notices this. Sociology examines how individual behavior interacts with social environments. Applied statistics allows us to examine trends across thousands of people. Nevertheless knowledge requires us to remember that correlation does not automatically prove causation. Not everything that happens together is caused by the same thing. Understanding matters.

The seventh principle, Gender, historically described masculine and feminine aspects within Hermetic philosophy. We should not confuse that philosophical concept with biblical teaching about men and women. Scripture gives dignity and responsibility to both sons and daughters. Joel 2:28 specifically declares that sons and daughters will prophesy. The message is clear: Elohim's purposes are not restricted to one gender. Look at Manhattan. Journey through its museums, neighborhoods, universities, businesses, and houses of worship. You see geography, history, economics, immigration, culture, religion, art, sociology, and human ambition all meeting in one place.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art preserves centuries of human creativity. The stories of Polish families and other immigrant communities remind us that people can cross borders, survive hardship, preserve identity, and build new futures. A generation can inherit difficulty and still create possibility.

And when we study Buddhism, Catholicism, Islam, Judaism, philosophy, and other traditions, we encounter different approaches to suffering, morality, prayer, discipline, meaning, and human responsibility. These traditions should not be blended together as though they teach the same thing. Still studying them can teach us something about humanity: people everywhere are searching for answers to life's deepest questions.

💬Socrates challenged people to examine themselves. Aristotle connected excellence with practiced character. Marcus Aurelius emphasized governing one's own response to circumstances. Yet Joel gives us another dimension: the Ruach awakens vision.

So hear this prophetic encouragement: Do not allow statistics to become your prophecy. Do not allow your past to become your identity. Do not allow society's expectations to become your bondage. A statistic can tell us what happened to a population. It cannot tell us everything Elohim can do through one person. A difficult neighborhood can influence a person. It does not have to determine their destiny. A family history can explain where you came from. It does not have to determine what you accomplish. Dream again. Meditate again. Gain knowledge again. Build again. Your vision needs faith, nevertheless it moreover needs guidance. Your dream requires prayer, nonetheless it equally seeks readiness. Your purpose desires passion, yet it also calls for understanding.

🔥 The world does not need more people who simply see problems. It depend upon people who can see possibilities. That is the challenge of Joel 2:28. The elder must keep dreaming. The young must keep seeing. The sons must rise. The daughters must rise. And every generation must carry the light forward.

🙏🏽 CLOSING PRAYER

🤲🏽🛐🙌🏽📿✝️🌍

Elohim, give us steadfast minds, perceptive hearts, strong spirits, and purposeful lives. Teach us to behold practices without becoming bound by them. Teach us to receive from history without being ensnared by it. Teach us to understand society without losing compassion for people. Awaken the dreamer. Awaken the visionary. Awaken the teacher. Awaken the builder. Awaken the steward.

Let our thoughts produce knowledge, our choices produce good fruit, and our lives become testimony that transformation is possible. Let our sons and daughters progress boldly. Let our elders continue to dream. Let our young people see visions. And let Your light shine through every generation.

In the name of Yahusha,

Halleluyah!
