Grace and Balance- Honoring the Sabbath with WBJMinistries

Honoring the Sabbath with Grace and Power

Opening Prayer

Heavenly Father, Creator of the heavens and earth, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude. We ask for Your wisdom as we reflect on Your word and the beauty of the Sabbath. May this message inspire us to live in alignment with Your divine will and to honor the sacred time You have set apart for us. Bless our families, strengthen our faith, and guide our steps in truth and love. In Yahusha’s name, we pray. Halaleyah.

The Sabbath Story* A Family's Journey to Honor Yahusha's Day

In a quiet neighborhood, the Johnston family—leaders of a small ministry called WBJMinistries—had a tradition of gathering every Sabbath to reflect, rest, and reconnect with the Most High. This story begins on the evening of every sixth day as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow over their home.

Sister Nina, the family matriarch, stood at the table, lighting the Sabbath candles. She recited from Tehillim 92 (Halaleyah Scriptures)-

"It is good to give thanks to Yahusha, and to sing praises to Your Name, O Most High; to declare Your kindness in the morning, and Your trustworthiness each night."

As the soft light filled the room, her husband, Brother Elijah, gathered their children and grandchildren, saying, “This is not just a day of rest but a divine appointment with Yahusha. Let us align ourselves with His commandments and reflect on the wisdom passed down from our ancestors."

Living the Kemetic Laws Through the Sabbath

The Johnston family believed in the holistic observance of Yahusha’s word and the ancient principles of Ma’at, the Kemetic laws of truth, balance, and righteousness. Elijah began, “The Sabbath aligns perfectly with Ma’at. When we honor the Sabbath, we honor balance—balancing work with rest, worldly endeavors with spiritual growth.”

Nina chimed in, quoting from Shemoth 20:8-11 (Halaleyah Scriptures)-

"Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart. Six days you labor, and shall do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of Yahusha your Elohim. You do not do any work—you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates."

A Family’s Sabbath Practice

Early Sabbath morning, the Johnstons gathered in their living room. Nina read from Tehillim 37:4-

"And delight yourself in Yahusha, and let Him give you the desires of your heart."

The children shared how they found delight in Yahusha- little Jamie, only seven years old, spoke of her joy in drawing pictures of Yahusha’s creation. Elisa, the teenager, spoke passionately about how Sabbath reflections helped her navigate life’s challenges.

Brother Elijah then led the family in a discussion about forgiveness and gratitude, tying it to the principles of Ma’at-

I will not sin against truth—Honoring truth in their dealings with one another.

I will not speak evil—Speaking kindness and encouragement, especially during family disagreements.

I will not waste electricity—Symbolic of cherishing resources and blessings Yahusha provides.

The family then shared a simple, nourishing meal prepared with love. They concluded the day with prayers of thanksgiving, meditating on ( Psalms )-Tehillim 23:6-

"Only goodness and kindness follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the House of Yahusha, to the length of days!"

Reflections of WBJMinistries

As the Sabbath ended, Elijah reminded the family, “WBJMinistries stands for more than words. It’s our dedication to Yahusha’s truth and our commitment to sharing it. When we honor the Sabbath, we are lights in a dark world.”

Nina added, “Let us continue to inspire others by showing how the Sabbath brings peace, order, and divine connection to our lives.”

Closing Prayer

Most High Yahusha, we thank You for the gift of the Sabbath—a day of rest, renewal, and reflection. May our lives honor You, and may we walk in truth, balance, and righteousness as taught in Your word and reflected in Your creation. Bless us to be examples of Your love and grace. Strengthen our families and help us share Your light through WBJMinistries. In Yahusha’s name, we pray. Halaleyah.
