Mindset of Life and Peace-Walking in the Ruach with WBJMinistries
Walking in the Ruach or in the Flesh- A Grace-Filled Call to Transformation
Presented by WBJMinistries
Opening Scripture
Let us turn to Romiyim 8:5-7 in the Halaleyah Scriptures
"For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the matters of the flesh, but those who live according to the Ruach, the matters of the Ruach. For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Ruach is ḥai and shalom. Because the mind of the flesh is enmity towards Elohim, for it does not subject itself to the Torah of Elohim, neither indeed is it able."
Now compare this with the traditional KJV rendering:
"For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be."
Beloved of Yah, WBJMinistries stands today as a lighthouse to remind us of the eternal choice before us. Will we live according to the flesh, seeking the fleeting pleasures of this world, or will we walk in the Ruach, embracing the life and peace of Yahusha Ha’Mashiach?
This powerful passage in Romiyim contrasts two mindsets- one leading to death and the other to ḥai (life). The question is not just about what we do but where we set our minds. In every choice, we declare who we serve—Elohim or the desires of our flesh.
The Flesh vs. the Ruach
What Does It Mean to Live According to the Flesh?
The flesh represents our sinful nature, the desires that pull us away from Elohim’s purpose. In the Halaleyah Scriptures, "the mind of the flesh" captures the heart of rebellion.
Examples of the flesh- self-indulgence, pride, greed, and unforgiveness.
The Halaleyah Scriptures emphasize the inability of the flesh to align with the Torah of Elohim. No matter how good it looks on the surface, the flesh can never produce the fruit of the Ruach.
What Does It Mean to Live According to the Ruach?
The Ruach (Spirit) transforms our hearts and minds. When we walk in the Ruach, we seek things above, where Yahusha is seated at the right hand of the Father. The Halaleyah Scriptures call us to embrace ḥai and shalom—not as temporary gifts but as eternal states of being.
Living in the Ruach means forgiveness, love, kindness, humility, and submission to the Torah of Elohim.
It is here we find true shalom (peace), a wholeness that surpasses understanding.
Walking Boldly in the Ruach
At WBJMinistries, we challenge you to examine where your mind is set. Are you fixated on earthly worries or heavenly treasures? Yah’s grace empowers us to shift our mindset-
Daily Prayer and Meditation
Commit your first thoughts to Yah. Begin with Halaleyah Scriptures like Tehillim (Psalms) 119:105
"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."
Accountability Through Fellowship
Surround yourself with those walking in the Ruach. Ib’rim (Hebrews) 10:24-25 reminds us*
"And let us be concerned for one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together."
Bearing the Fruit of the Ruach
Let your actions reflect the Ruach’s work in you: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatiyim/Galatians 5:22-23).
Closing Encouragement
As Romiyim 8:6 declares in both translations, "To be spiritually minded is life and peace." WBJMinistries calls you to embrace this spiritual mindset today. Let the Halaleyah Scriptures illuminate your path and Yah’s grace fill your heart. Walk boldly, knowing that the Ruach empowers you to overcome the flesh and live a life that glorifies Elohim.
Benediction
May Yah bless you with the ḥai and shalom found only in Yahusha Ha’Mashiach. Go forth, transformed by His Ruach, as ambassadors of His light.
Halleluyah.
