Sabbath Freedom- Finding Rest Through Spiritual Guidance

Sermon- Finding Freedom in Spiritual Guidance During the Sabbath

Greetings, beloved, in the name of Yahusha HaMashiach, our Messiah. Today, we gather to reflect on the significance of the Sabbath—both the preparation and the day of rest itself. In these holy moments, Yahuwah calls us not just to follow a ritual but to experience true freedom through spiritual guidance.

In Shemoth (Exodus) 20:8, it says, "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it set-apart." This command is more than just about abstaining from work; it's an invitation to enter into Yahuwah's peace. Yahusha reminds us in MattithYahu (Matthew) 11:28, "Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

But how do we ensure that the Sabbath doesn't become just another task, another duty that burdens our souls? The answer is simple: spiritual guidance.

When we prepare for the Sabbath, we must allow the Ruach Ha'Qodesh (Holy Spirit) to lead us. Yeshayah (Isaiah) 58:13-14 teaches, "If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My set-apart day, and call the Sabbath a delight... then you shall delight yourself in Yahuwah."

Spiritual preparation sets us free from being bogged down by the weight of chores or legalism. When we let the Spirit guide our hearts, we experience the Sabbath as Yah intended—a time of joy, reflection, and rest.

WBJMinistries encourages you to embrace this mindset. As you prepare, ask Yahuwah to clear your heart and mind. Let Him remind you that the Sabbath is not a burden but a gift, a chance to pause, connect, and find true rest in His presence.

Let us close with the words of Yahusha from Marqos (Mark) 2:27, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath." May we always find freedom in that truth.

Halleluyah.
