Opening Prayer 🙏🏼

Elohim, our Father, we come before You with humble hearts and grateful spirits. We thank You for giving us another opportunity to seek truth, gain understanding, and draw closer to You.

Open our minds to understand Your Word. Open our hearts to receive correction. Give us wisdom to recognize truth, courage to stand for justice, and humility to walk according to Your ways. As we examine the wisdom of the ancient world and the principles of truth, justice, balance, mercy, and righteousness, help us discern what is good and bring everything back to the standard of Your Word. Let this message not simply give us knowledge, but transform the way we live. Teach us to love our neighbor, treat people fairly, speak truthfully, and serve without pride. We are called to truth and set apart to serve.

👉🏼Sermon: Walking in Truth, Justice, and Righteousness

📖Scripture Foundation: WAYYIQRA (Leviticus) 19:11–18; MIKAH (Micah) 6:8

There is something powerful about ancient wisdom: different civilizations understood that how we live matters.

The Kemetic tradition spoke about Ma’at—a way of living connected with truth, justice, balance, order, and righteousness. The Torah also repeatedly teaches that Elohim's people must live with truth, justice, honesty, compassion, and responsibility toward one another. That gives us something important to examine.

Are we only talking about truth, or are we actually living it?

WAYYIQRA 19 gives us practical instructions. It tells us not to steal, not to lie, not to deal falsely with one another, not to oppress our neighbor, and not to hold hatred in our hearts.

Then it gives us one of the most powerful principles:

> “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”📜

— WAYYIQRA 19:18

That is not simply a religious statement.

That isa way of life.

Truth Must Become Character

The Kemetic principle of Ma’at reminds us that truth cannot remain something we speak about. It has to become something we practice. And WAYYIQRA teaches the same kind of accountability. If I say I walk in truth but constantly deceive people, something is wrong. If I say I love Elohim but mistreat people, something is wrong.

If I claim to be set apart nevertheless participate in injustice, something is wrong. Our walk has to agree with our words. That is what being Called to Truth means.

Truth is not just what comes out of our mouths.

Truth should be reflected in our decisions, relationships, business, family, ministry, and everyday behavior.

Justice Is Part of Holiness

One thing I appreciate about studying ancient wisdom is seeing how strongly justice was connected to righteousness.

Ma’at emphasized living according to right order and justice. The Torah also commands us not to oppress, exploit, or falsely accuse others. That means holiness is not just about what happens inside a place of worship. Holiness follows us into the streets.

It follows us into our homes.

It follows us into our workplaces.

It follows us into our communities.

If someone is hungry, how do we respond?

If someone is being mistreated, do we speak up?

If someone is struggling, do we show compassion?

If we have power over someone else, do we use that power responsibly?

Because being set apart is not about making ourselves look spiritually superior. Being set apart means becoming useful to others.

The Heart of Service

📖MIKAH 6:8 asks what Elohim requires of us:

> “To do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy Elohim.”📜

Look at those three things:

Do justice.

Love mercy.

Walk humbly.

That is a powerful picture of ministry.

We do not serve because we think we are better than someone else.

We serve because we understand that everything we have been given carries responsibility.

Your voice carries responsibility.

Your knowledge carries responsibility.

Your testimony carries responsibility.

Your ministry carries responsibility.

And if Elohim has given you a platform, that platform shouldnot only be used to tell people what is wrong with the world. It should help people understand how to live right within it.

Truth Without Love

There is another lesson we need to understand.

Truth without compassion can become cruelty.

Justice without mercy can become vengeance.

And spirituality without humility can become pride.

That is why WAYYIQRA does not simply tell us to separate ourselves from wrongdoing. It teaches us how to treat other people while doing it.

We can stand for truth without becoming hateful.

We can disagree without destroying someone.

We can correct without humiliating.

We can pursue justice without becoming consumed by revenge.

That is strength under control.

What Does This Mean for Us?

The Kemetic wisdom of Ma’at can give us a historical lens for thinking about truth, justice, balance, and righteous conduct. Nevertheless as a ministry, our foundation remains the Word of Elohim.

We do not have to erase ancient wisdom to study it.

We can examine it.

We can learn from history.

We can recognize principles that point toward truth.

And we can always measure what we encounter against the standard we believe Elohim has given us.

That is part of being Called to Truth.

Reflection 🪞

So today, I want you to examine yourself.

Are you walking in truth?

Are you treating people justly?

Are you showing mercy?

Are you carrying yourself with humility?

Are you using what Elohim gave you to serve or only to be seen?

Because the goal is not simply to know ancient laws.

The goal is to become a person whose life reflects righteousness.

We are Called to Truth.

We are Set Apart to Serve.

And when truth becomes our character, justice becomes our practice, mercy becomes our response, and humility becomes our walk, then our ministry becomes more than words.

Our life becomes the message.

Elohim, we thank You for everything we have read and learned today. Thank You for reminding us that truth is not merely something we speak, it is something we must live. Help us to walk in righteousness when no one is watching. Help us choose justice over oppression, mercy over revenge, truth over deception, and humility over pride.

Let the wisdom we have received today become visible in our everyday lives. Let us be people who bring peace where there is confusion, fairness where there is injustice, compassion where there is suffering, and truth where there is deception.
